Potty Update.

So this is probably boring everyone. And I'm sure Adney will kill me someday for talking about his bowel movements on the internet. But it's consuming my life lately, so you get to hear about it :)

So today we bought a new potty. We have just been using the little seat that you put on top of the normal toilet. And I think Adney was just bored with the bathroom. So we went to WalMart today and purchased this:

Adney picked it out and is SO excited about it. Bad thing about this potty: The lid is heavy and makes it tip backwards easily. It never tipped while it had anything in it today, but still. I am seeing potential for messes. But it's cute and Adney LOVES it. I only put a Pull-Up on him during nap and when we went to WalMart today. He saved his Poop until nap time unfortunately. But he went Pee in his potty 3 times! He got a sticker and a prize when he went in his potty. He also went pee on the floor a few times. Even though it was frustrating, I acted like it was no big deal. Not sure how to handle that. I don't want to punish him for it, but I don't want to encourage it either. So I just wiped it up and ignored it. (Thank heaven for hardwood floors). Thanks for all your advice everyone! You all have lots of good ideas and stuff I haven't thought of. I am determined that this is the time. He's going to get it. At least that's what I keep telling myself. I was hoping he would learn it overnight and a switch would go off and he would "get it" but the switch is not so immediate. We are sticking with it, but it might take us... a while. Hopefully he is fully potty trained by July 22nd.
