So thanks to some advice from Mothers I trust, I have decided to chill out on the potty training regimen. Adney was starting to see it as a negative thing, something he wanted to avoid. And it was starting to stress me out too. So yesterday, we put a diaper back on him. And he seemed relieved and happier.
But this morning I caught him three times taking his diaper off and sitting on his potty. Which is great! I have been putting a diaper on him afterward each time, because he asks for one.
So maybe he is ready?
Moral of the story.... Adney is just like his dad. He is not going to do ANYTHING that he feels he is being pressured into. However, if it is his own idea, he is all about it. Silly boys. And I just need to chill and let my boy grow on his own. I'll be here, cheering in the wings :)

I just saw your husband today!! Can't wait to see you and Adney... Loved the photo booth post. You're such a cute mom. Potty training huh? Good for you! Not my favorite mom job... Ryman took FOREVER! Sounds like you are doing everything right. My advice ( which I know you highly appreciate... ) Let him do it when he's ready, sometimes that takes a few attempts and the whole cheering in the wings is awesome. I don't believe in any form of punishment until they've been potty trained for a loooooong time. Any friends I have had that punished or forced it on their kids had bad results. And, every kid is different. Ryman took like 6 months. First peeing for a few months, got that down, did the dirty stuff for a few months, then bed time. Took forever, but he never "relapsed." Brylie showed interest and was done in about a week. Kayden announced to everyone that he was potty trained one day and never went back to diapers. Seriously, ONE DAY! Kind of sounds like their personalities... So, good luck figuring out Adney. Poor kids, it has got to be a hard thing to figure out.
Joe is that way too!! Maybe I'll get lucky and Joseph won't catch on... ? haha. :)
