Election Day!

I voted today! This may seen silly, but I feel like a good person for voting. I have always voted absentee, which is not as much fun as going to the polls and joining with your fellow Americans in the joys of a free country. Sigh. I was a little disappointed in how short my wait was. I expected a long and tedious wait with people sacraficing hours of thier time to stand in line to do something truly American: cast their vote. But instead the line was short and fast and the poll workers were efficient and friendly. My sacrafice to vote was small: walk two blocks, open a door, fill out a registration card, stand in line for 30 seconds, fill in a couple bubbles and drop it in the box. oh yeah, don't forget my "I voted today" sticker. But it was, overall, uneventfull, and seemingly unimportant. Afterall, I am just one vote out of millions. But we cannot not do things just because there are a lot of people who do it. For example, we should still pray even though we are just one prayer out of .... an eternal number of prayers. My prayer is still as important as my neighbors, or the presidents. As is my vote. Perhaps there are 10 million other people who say "my vote doesn't matter". And therefore, the results of the elections are not representative of the true American opinion, and therefore we elect idiots who don't do a good job and then America as we know is ruined. And it would be each one of those 10 million people's fault. ok, that's a little dramatic, but you get the picture.

So what I am really trying to say is, Go vote today, you will feel like a good person.

good for you! I am ashamed to admit this is the first time I have ever voted. I never really cared and figured it didn't matter cuz republicans always win idaho and utah so my vote didn't matter. but I voted today...and Lexi ate my sticker.
