Bountiful Baskets Instructions.

So I have had a lot of people asking me how the whole bountiful baskets thing works. I know, their website could not be any more confusing if they tried. But I stole this little bit from their instructions page, and changed it, because I think their instructions are outdated.

First Time Participants
Website Instructions
To participate for the first time do the following:
1.  Visit our website at www.BountifulBaskets.org
 2.  If in Idaho, You may make contributions (which is a fancy way of saying you can purchase a basket) between 7pm on Monday and 11pm on Tuesday (Look at the available sites, pick up times, and week A & B schedule on the main page too!)
3.  Click on Log-In and create an account. Use the Zip Code that is listed on your credit or debit card statement for your address. This will prevent issues at checkout.
4.  Go back to www.BountifulBaskets.org when you are done making your account.
 5.  Look at the middle of the front page and click on your state (if in Idaho you must do this between 7pm on Monday and 11pm on Tuesday... this week)
 6.  Add a basket to your cart.  The option to add a basket will only be available during your contribution time. Select any items you would like to add to your basket (bread, case fruit, Ethnic Food Ingredient Packs, etc.)
6.  Go to View Cart/Checkout in the lower left corner when you are done.
7.  Contribute with either your debit or credit card.
Other Information To find Pickup Times/Dates go to www.BountifulBaskets.org and click on your geography. They are on the main page.
To find Directions to your exact pickup location go to Co-op Locations and click on your geography.

My tips:
*There is a message board on their website. If you have questions or want recipes, the message board is a great place to look. You have to create a separate log in for it though.
* You get a basket full of food, they don't actually give you a basket. You have to bring your own. I recommend a laundry basket or box. But the first time you get a Bountiful Basket, they ask that you contribute a $3 basket fee. Which goes to helping provide enough baskets to store the produce in at the site, not towards giving you a basket.
* When is says the pickup time is at 3:00 or whatever, show up at exactly that time or a few minutes early. If you show up at 3:30, it might be over.
* There are A weeks and B weeks and some sites only do it on one or the other, some sites do it all weeks. So pay attention to what week it is and what sites are available that week.

Ok I think that will do it. If you have any other questions, let me know.

Thanks for putting this up! Anna and I really want to try it now; obviously you liked it or you wouldn't post all this up :) But has your transaction gone through and everything? I just don't want to use my credit card on anything online, you know? And did everything end up tasting good?

Hey KAtie! Everything has gone through wonderfully two weeks in a row now. Leah does it in Arizona too, So I think it is legit. And all the produce was fresh and beautiful. I honestly have not heard one bad remark about this organization.

I love your updates! When I read through your pregnancy thoughts, it made me laugh. You write just like you talk, and I can hear your voice in my head as I read. It makes me laugh, but you have a very good voice for writing. I hope all is well with your little guy, and you are doing well. I miss you! I am so glad that I was able to visit you when I came to Idaho. How did dress shopping go with your sister? Did you find her a dress in Salt Lake? Well, hope all is well! Love ya girl!

P.S. We still need to get together. Cody always has good things to say about you guys. :)

I didn't know you were pregnant-congratulations! How exciting for you guys, and another boy. Oh what fun!
My mom does this bountiful baskets thing, and it is so sweet! I'm vising her right now and she picks up a basket this Saturday, and I'm totally excited for it! I think I'll have to start something like this in Kansas!
