So this has nothing to do with this post... but I hate it when I read other people's blogs before I post on my own. I always find myself trying to channel someone else's voice instead of my own. Oh well... moving on... and hopefully as myself. haha
My poor little Cammon boy. He is so sick! He has as what his doctor describes as "reactive airways". Meaning... every little sniffle goes straight to his lungs. A lot of times reactive airways can be a precursor to asthma. Boo. This is the 6th time he has been sick and required a respiratory treatment since he was born. (He is 11 months old). Oh... side note: Cammon's doctor is also his Aunt Shauna... whom we live with and who also happens to be the best pediatrician on the planet (no joke). So here's the latest story:
Yesterday morning he started coughing a bit. But nothing huge. When we got home from church he started wheezing a bit. Within a few hours his condition plummeted. He had really labored breathing and was croupy and coughing a ton. So we ran him over to Shauna's office. When we got there he puked all over the place... I think he just choked on some phlegm... sorry more than you would like to know probably. So after he puked all over they gave him an epinephrine breathing treatment, which helped a ton. And they also gave him a steroid shot. If we weren't going home with our pediatrician, they would have sent Cammon to the hospital for monitoring... but since he was probably going to receive better care at his own house with his Auntie who loves him than he would at the hospital, they let us go home. Oh the perks of living in the same house as your pediatrician. After all of that- he was breathing better... but still coughing a ton. Which woke him up... a ton. So needless to say... no one got any sleep.
Today he still required more steroids but is breathing much better. But he was generally fussy and miserable the entire day. The poor little man just feels like poop. And I pretty much just sit around all day and night worrying about him. It just breaks my heart to see him so miserable. So we are hoping he will start feeling better soon. And the sooner he can grow out of this "reactive airways" stuff... the better.
So that's the story with Cammon being sick. With his track record, I'm sure it won't be long until we have to do it all over again. Sigh. Poor kid.
Side note: The more we live here with Kyle's sister... the more I believe that this is where we are supposed to be. She has been such a lifesaver with Cammon's sicknesses. It just makes me so grateful that my Heavenly Father is so aware of us and our needs and does everything he can to bless us. What was originally a nightmare, is turning out to be a giant blessing.

I'm sorry that your baby is so sick!! Carson has had the same thing since he was born! He has asthma and allergies, has had pneumonia twice, bronchitis three times, RSV.... you name it. We have a nebulizer and he does three breathing treatments a day.
Poor sick babies! It means miserable little boys and tired mamas who don't get enough sleep. I feel your pain!
